Look UP

I hear these words in my spirit:

“stand tall and lift up your heads [in joy], because [suffering ends as] your redemption is drawing near.”

The above verse is from Luke 21:28. In context it’s referring to the return of the Son of Man. No, I don’t believe the Lord Jesus is ready to split open the heavens and descend any minute.

HOWEVER, I do believe the Spirit is conveying a word of hope and encouragement through these words to those who are currently in distress. It might be physical, emotional or financial. Maybe you lost your job, or your dealing with sickness, loss or heartache of some kind. Whatever your personal suffering relates to, I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying,

“I have heard your cry and…Help is on the way!”

I don’t know anyone who isn’t facing some kind of suffering. The difficulties are unique to each one but the challenge is the same. The heart cries of many shouting “I don’t know how we are going to make it.” is reverberating throughout heaven. God has heard and He is replying: “Look up!”

The God of all Grace is on His way. Look up and see!

And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up.

1 Peter 5:10 TPT
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NIV

Our God is eternally, the God of all grace. The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. (Ps. 103:19) He is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. (2 Cor. 1:3) He is full of tender mercies. (James 5:11) He comforts the downcast. (2 Cor. 7:6) He upholds the weary. (Mt. 11:28) He encourages the discouraged. (2 Th. 2:16-17) He strengthens the weak. (Is. 40:29) The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Ps. 34:18)

The children of God are suffering great trial. There is a lot of contention and warfare over our destiny and future. The enemy would have us believe that God has abandoned us, or at the least we have done something that has so offended God that He wants nothing more to do with us. Nothing could be further from the truth. God is with us. Many of us may feel like we’ve dropped our sword. It’s okay. He has never dropped His.

and a sharp two-edged sword is going forth out of His mouth;

That sharp two edged sword is unleashed as He speaks.

Psalm 35:1 Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me; Fight against those who fight against me.

Isaiah 49:25 For thus says the LORD: “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken, and the prey of the tyrant be rescued, for I will contend with those who contend with you, and I will save your children.

The sound of clashing swords can be heard throughout the heavens as Jesus is battling on our behalf. He is speaking words of life. Look up and listen. Can you hear the sound? Can you hear His voice? He is speaking into your situation.

I hear this song in my spirit. We used to sing it in the 80’s. (check it out on Youtube)

I hear the sound of the army of the Lord
I hear the sound of the army of the Lord
It’s the sound of praise
It’s the sound of war
The army of the Lord
The army of the Lord
The army of the Lord is marching on

I hear the sound of the army of the Lord by Dave Moody

Look up,

God is coming and He is securing your future. He is coming with answers and solutions. He is coming with healings and miracles. He is making a way. He is opening doors. He is resolving long standing issues. He is shifting things in your favor. Look up!

I shall lift my eyes to the hills; from where will come my helper?

Psalm 121:1 (hbpt)

All praise goes to God, Father of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. He is the Father of compassion, the God of all comfort. He consoles us as we endure the pain and hardship of life so that we may draw from His comfort and share it with others in their own struggles.

Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Jesus is interceding right now concerning your life. He is standing at the right hand of God making intercession on your behalf. As He speaks His sword is striking the evil one who would try to defeat us. Yet, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Rom. 8:37)

Jesus is speaking to you saying:

“Look up! I’m on my way to help you in your current circumstances.”
