Betty Hall is a writer and teacher whose life has been shaped by a long pursuit of recognizing Christ throughout Scripture and learning what it means to live from the reality of His finished work. Her journey has taken her through the biblical Feasts, the Tabernacle, the Hebrew language and letters, the prophets, the book of Hebrews, and the many patterns and witnesses woven throughout Scripture. Throughout that journey, the individual subjects themselves were never the intended focus, but the One to whom they bear witness.

As that perspective continues to deepen, so does the way Betty understands her own work. She does not approach Scripture simply looking for information to teach or another subject to explain. She writes from an ongoing journey of discovery, returning to familiar passages and ancient witnesses with the recognition that although the landscape may be familiar, the traveler is continually being formed.

The truth of God’s Word never changes, but life in Christ continues to deepen the eyes with which we see it.

At the foundation of Betty’s work is the conviction that Messiah Jesus has finished the work that restores God’s people. Because of Him, we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, and His people are learning what it means to live from a reality already established in Christ rather than continually striving to attain what He has already accomplished. For Betty, the witnesses of Scripture ultimately lead here: beyond the sign, pattern, shadow, or language to Christ Himself, and from recognizing Christ to learning what His life looks like when it becomes visible among His people.

That pursuit is deeply connected to Betty’s longing for the Ekklesia to become a people among whom the wounded can remain long enough for Christ to restore them. She believes the shared life described in the New Testament was meant to be a place where the weak are strengthened, the discouraged are encouraged, the wounded are restored, and no one is expected to walk the road of faith alone. Her work seeks to help recover that healing culture by continually returning to Christ as both the foundation and the life of His people.

Through Beyond the Dalet, Betty writes and teaches from the intersection of these convictions. Whether she is exploring a Hebrew letter, an appointed time, a prophetic passage, the biblical calendar, the finished work of Christ, or the shared life of His people, she is following the same underlying pursuit: to recognize Christ more clearly and to understand what becomes possible when His life is not merely something we believe in, but the life from which we actually live.

At the heart of Betty’s work is a simple conviction: every witness matters, but no witness is the destination. Christ is. Her writing is the continuing expression of a life spent following those witnesses to the One they reveal, learning to live from what He has already established, and calling attention to the life that becomes visible when His people do the same.
