IT’S TIME TO GO

The Lord has been showing me a divine agenda in process for removing some of His people from some of their current involvements and commitments (even some of those we thought would never leave).

The passage of scripture God is highlighting to me for this year (5781) is Genesis 12:1-4a

The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.” So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed…

TAKE THAT FIRST STEP

The Lord is saying, it is time to leave the comfort of your current situation and get ready for something new to begin.

Holy Spirit is saying that some have been reluctant to follow His gentle promptings to make certain changes. Yet, because it is God’s desire to bring you into a new situation that will ultimately be a blessing to you, He is going to be relentless in convincing you to make the necessary changes. That relentlessness is going to be like a strong wind on your back blowing you out. It will even get to the point where you might feel so much pressure pushing on you that you become willing to make the changes even though you really don’t want to right now. The situation are going to become increasingly uncomfortable until you are willing to take that first step. The pressure will ease up once you have taken that first step. That doesn’t mean it won’t be difficult. It will be in some respects. But it will be the right thing as you follow God’s promptings each step of the way.

The whole plan won’t come into view at the beginning. He is only giving instructions for step one. Once you make the decision and act on it, taking the next steps will be easier. God is saying, “Just take the first step.”

For some this is a step away from certain family members and situations. I know on the surface that might not sound like the right thing to do, and it isn’t for everyone. But there are certain individuals that God is confirming what you already know you need to do. “Yes, you need to make this change. You need to remove yourself.” It won’t be easy but God will reveal the next step once you take that first step.

For others the change that God is requiring might be on your job. It has to do with your current vocation. You have already been told by Holy Spirit that you won’t be doing this job for much longer. It is to those people that this word applies. God is taking you in an entirely different direction. Just know that it is time. All you have to do is make the decision. Ask God to show you what that first step is. For everyone that step is going to look different. For one it might be taking a class, for someone else it might be taking your hobby to the next level. For someone else it might mean giving notice. For another it might be accepting a position you might not have otherwise considered. Get confirmation. But by all means INQUIRE! ASK! AND TAKE A STEP IN THAT DIRECTION.

FEAR NOT – BUT DON’T GO IN HASTE

Get your instructions from Holy Spirit. Don’t move out in presumption. In order to move out in confidence you need to know that God isn’t just calling you out of your situation, He is calling you INTO something else. It’s not easy to make life impacting changes. Fear not, God is with you. He will lead you every step of the way. God will always confirm His word to you. He will always make His word to you plain. Ask God for the courage to take the steps He is calling you to take.

WALK DON’T RUN

Go in confidence and grace—no rushing, no frantic escape.
There’s no need to be anxious—the Eternal One goes before and behind you. The God of Israel paves the way with assurance and strength. He watches your back.

NEW LIFE

The breath of God is going to breathe much needed new life as you take each step. Along with that new life is going to come a new way of living. You will be surprised and elated as you you are infused with new life, new grace and a new outlook for the future.

The whole purpose for making these changes is so that God can take you to the next level of blessing He has for you. So, inquire of the Lord as to what changes He has for you right now. What is the one step you need to take to get the ball rolling. And by all means, ask for the courage to walk out the new thing God has planned that will elevate you into a new place in Him.

May the Lord bless you with eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to obey.
