Going Forward – Yes that means more transition
5785 will be empowered with the means to cross over and into the new thing God has been showing us.
The Hebrew year 5785 signifies a season of significant transition and new beginnings. We are invited to cross over past limitations and step into our divine purposes. Emphasizing movement and spiritual growth, during this coming year we are encouraged to embrace change and overcome challenges. Guided by Holy Spirit, this pursuit will lead us along a divinely constructed path. This path will lead each of us into the fulfillment of our divine promises.
The Hebrew year 5785 carries profound prophetic significance, marking a season of unprecedented transition and movement as we step into divine new beginnings. As the concept of the Hebrew word abar emphasizes crossing over, this year invites us to leave behind past limitations and embark on a fresh journey aligned with God’s purpose.
5785 symbolizes a spiritual gateway, where the work of the Holy Spirit opens pathways previously untraveled. As we move forward, Holy Spirit will be guiding us toward greater fulfillment of our covenant promises.
During this pivotal year we are encouraged to embrace forward motion, seeking to go beyond our previous experiences and step into the possibilities that lie ahead. Doing so, we will reap an abundant harvest of spiritual growth as we step further along the path of our divine destiny.

Rosh Hashana (Head of the Year) 5785 begins at sundown on Wednesday, October 2. 2024.
I believe we are passing into the greatest transition we have seen so far.
What the Lord has been showing me for 5785
As I was praying and seeking the Lord concerning the upcoming Hebraic year 5785, Holy Spirit impressed on me, the Hebrew word abar. Abar is used to convey movement. The simplest explanation for abar is to pass; like crossing or passing over a river, or through a mountain pass.

Construction on this new path is now over
5784 is coming to a close and so is the construction phase. Some of you might recall a former blog post (click link below) I did concerning 5783 and 5784, in which I shared about a new road being established for each of us. That has been a work of preparation by God over the past couple of years.
Now – 5785 will be like a gateway into our next divinely ordained assignment.
We Will Be On A New Road Going Forward From Here
What I am seeing for 5785 is all about forward motion. The concept of movement relayed through the word abar is to go beyond or go further.
5785 will be a time to move beyond. It will be a time to move forward and go further than we have in the past. In many ways, it will be like a whole new life. The old way will be gone. A new path has already been established.
We just need to keep going. We will need to keep up the forward motion throughout the year ahead. That being said, we will need to resist the temptation to go back.

More on the Hebrew word Abar
Abar, means to pass through or over, to cover, to go beyond, to go along, to be crossed over, to make to cross over, to go through, to go away.
Abar is used to express some kind of movement between two specific places. In order for the people to step into the fulfillment of their covenant promise, Moses used the word abar to convey motivation for the people to overcome (abar) obstacles. There will be obstacles in front of us as we move forward. We will need to draw on the Lord for courage and grace to face those obstacles and overcome them.
Abar indicates forward motion

That forward motion is on the new road God has been developing and establishing over for the past couple of years.
This new road is the path on which we will move ahead and go further. It’s a path we have never walked on before. So we are going to need fresh insight and new strength to meet the challenges along the way. Despite the challenges, this new path will take us further than we have ever gone before. A fresh empowerment of Holy Spirit we will receive at the onset, will cause us to go beyond.
It is going to take courage and a determination to leave the past behind. What worked in the past will not work going forward. Old ways will not work. We will need a fresh deposit of Holy Spirit to accomplish and succeed in this new assignment. Take heart, God is going to deliver everything we need.
Key characteristics we will need throughout the Hebrew year 5785:
- Flexibility to transition
- Willingness to embrace a new approach
- Resilience to keep going, no matter the difficulty
- Courage to leave the past behind.
- Resolute determination to pursue intimacy with God
A Pivotal Year
This is going to be a pivotal time for transformation and renewal. The meaning of the Hebrew word abar, is highlighted for this year. It signifies a crossing over into a new phase of life.

Since this is going to be a new life path, we are urged to release the baggage of the past and step boldly cross over into our uniquely God fashioned future.
The prophetic nature of this year, presents a divine opportunity for each of us to engage with God’s promises and embark on an exciting new journey.

As we stand at the threshold of a new beginning, it’s imperative that we embrace courage and face the future with unwavering determination. Every challenge we encounter will be an opportunity for growth, a chance to step beyond our comfort zones and explore the uncharted territories of our potential.
Remember, true bravery isn’t the absence of fear but the resolve to move forward despite it. Let us harness our inner strength, support one another, and forge ahead confidently, knowing that each step we brings us closer to our divine purpose and the abundant life that awaits us.

Embrace the journey with an open heart and an adventurous spirit, for the best is yet to come!
A Gateway to the New
5785 will be a gateway, that leads to unprecedented transitions and new journeys aligning us with God’s plans. The gift enclosed in this coming year will offer each one of us spectacular opportunities for ever increasing spiritual fulfillment.

Let us boldly move forward and embrace this new journey with an open heart.
Blessings to you in this new year! L’shana Tova!
