Looking Back & Going Forward

Decade of PEH builds on the foundation of the preceding decade

Each decade builds on the previous; just as the work of the Holy Spirit in this decade will prepare us for the next. Knowing what the Spirit was saying to the church in prior seasons can be of tremendous value in helping to navigate our current times. I find looking back at prophetic words, visions and downloads through previous God encounters anchors and reaffirms the work Holy Spirit has been doing in my life. I find these Holy Spirit review times to be a valuable asset. It ties things together. When we look back we can see how God brought us from where we were to where we are. I find it helps me get my bearings and more easily discover the direction in which God is leading me today.

In light of that, before going forward into a new year I like to do a review. The current month is Elul, the 12th and final month of the Hebrew calendar. It is a time of reviewing and adjusting before going forward. It’s a time to take a look at how we have or have not lined up with the instruction, insights and revelation the Holy Spirit has released in the preceding year. Looking back on the words, visions and instructions the Holy Spirit is valuable in helping to keep on track with what Holy Spirit has already spoken. I use a journal software to keep a record that I can easily go back to and review.

As we close out this first year of the peh decade I am mindful of how each decade is the foundation upon which the current decade is being built. Peh (80) is preceded by ayin (70). The ayin decade was about clarifying and adjusting our vision that we might have the eyes of our heart open [The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; – Eph. 1:18 KJV] Ayin represents spiritual perception, insight and how we perceive the revelatory realm. In other words do we have eyes to see in the Spirit? And is our eye clear?

The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

Matthew 6:22 BSB
Eved – (ayin bet dalet)

Yesterday I was reminded of insight the Holy Spirit was gave leading up to Rosh Hashanah 5772. The Lord often speaks to me through the Hebrew words associated with the Hebrew letters for that year. Ayin Bet is the number 72. One particular ayin bet word God impressed on my spirit was: eved. Eved is the Hebrew word related with being a bond servant. Holy Spirit not only highlighted the Hebrew word eved to me but impressed upon me that this word was especially important for going forward. That importance was not limited to the ayin decade but vital if we wanted the presence of God in our midst. I did and still do.

I was impacted powerfully by the manifestation of the fear of the Lord as God encountered my heart. He relayed to me being a bond-servant, not as the church taught traditionally, but as the Spirit of the Lord would reveal, was vital to walking in step with Holy Spirit; especially in the days and years ahead. He went further to say that where the church fails to get this one thing in order they would suffer great loss in the coming move of the Spirit. My prayer has been that God would awaken His people giving them eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying.

The revelation of the eved which Holy Spirit imparted to my spirit in 5771 was layered on top of an altering spiritual experience which I had during the samech season (the decade prior to ayin). Basically the concept of the eved has to do with being a priest unto the Lord. (Watch the video below for a great message on eved)

avadim is plural of avad/eved

Surely Adonoi Hashem will do nothing, but He revealeth His sod (secret) unto His avadim hanevi’im.

Amos 3:7 OJB

Sometimes it is equally, if not more, important to hear what the Lord spoke through His servants (avadim) the prophets (hanevi’im) in the prior season as it is to hear what is being said currently. I can only speak for myself but these yearly reviews always bring to light something of major importance. In this case it is the message of the eved. I can think of no one better to deliver the message of what being an eved is about than Bill Cloud. Below is the message entitled: the Glory has departed – Bill gave at El Shaddai Ministries Elul 13, 5771.

This was not just a vital message that needed to be heard a decade ago. It is equally imperative to hear it now as we are living in the days when God is shaking the mountain of the House of the Lord. If you don’t have time right now set aside about an hour and half to listen to this message. It is time well spent. The title of this message really should have been, “What is an eved?

Peh Aleph – 81

How we have aligned in the past doesn’t have to dictate how we align now. We may not have heard the Lord’s direction and leading in prior seasons. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t hear Him now.

Rosh Hashanah, the Head of the Year 5781, is identified with the Hebrew letters peh aleph. Peh aleph is the also the Hebrew word for breath. The first couple of years of a new Hebraic decade typically set the course for the remainder of the decade. What is the Spirit of the Lord speaking now?

As I look back over the previous decade since receiving the word about the eved/bondservant of the Lord I realize that much of what Bill Cloud spoke in his message was spoken prophetically to the church. I strongly urge you to listen.

O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts...Psalm 95:6-8

Below is an excerpt from 5780-5789 A Decade of Peh Part 2 – The Rollout

Peh aleph 81
5781 will bring the very breath of God as He blows us into the season ahead. It is the breath of 5781 that will carry us through the rest of the decade. This breath will be blowing away relationships which will hinder us from managing the new territory God is bringing us to. The breath of the Spirit will blow us in a new direction. It will blow us from one end of the region to another. It might even blow us to another region of the continent or even across the ocean. There will be a dislodging and relocating as a result of this breath.

What wasn’t shifted in 5780 will shift in 5781. For those reluctant to make the shift in previous year will experience gale force winds that will move them as the breath of God blows them into a new place. The gentle breath will become a fierce wind by the end of the year. There is a divine agenda being implemented for removing and setting aside our current social involvement and religious commitments (even those we thought would continue in this season).

Those who refuse to make the changes are going to find life get harder. But those who embrace the change will realize quickly that God had this in mind all along. They will be saying, “I wish I had done this sooner.” These changes are what is going to breathe new life into the people of God. This breath is the Spirit of the Living God. This breath brings life. There is so much life in this breath that it literally will feel like a second wind. This is a time for the weary to be revived, for the dead to come to life and the empty to be filled. For those who have felt like they’ve been hanging on by a thread, life will come in the breath to revive them.

While bringing life, this breath is going to blow away mindsets that have held back the people of God. As the breath realigns and reestablishes the people of God (ekklesia) new life is going to come in. Old mindsets that have governed the church and held the people of God in check will begin to get blown away. Old ways are going to die. They will not be able to withstand the breath of God that will blow this year. Get ready for new paradigms to sweep the ekklesia off their feet and into a new move of the Spirit.

The Threshing Floor
This blowing is happening at the threshing floor. The wind of the Spirit will be blowing. How the word of God is perceived will be tossed in the air and the wind of the Spirit will blow away the chaff. By the end of this year many will say, “Everything I thought about the word of God has changed. Everything I believe about God has altered. I am not who I was a year ago.”

The threshing floor of 5781 comes after harvesting fruitful supplies in 5780. There were things which came to a fullness which have now been harvested. God is weeding out the weeds and threshing out the grain this year.

Jesus put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was asleep, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and slipped away. When the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds also appeared. The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. So the servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ ‘No,’ he said, ‘if you pull the weeds now, you might uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat into my barn.’” Matthew 13:24-30 BSB

The Lord bless you as we transition into the New Hebraic Year 5781
