Screen Shot 2019-04-14 at 4.03.34 PMThe symbolism of the Hebrew year 5779 is viewed through the Hebrew letters ayin and tet. Ayin is 70 and tet is 9. The ayin has been seen throughout the decade. Each year within the ayin decade has had a unique quality symbolized by the Hebrew letter for that year. The letter tet represents good or goodness. We see the goodness of the Lord expressed His love. The fullness of God’s goodness is seen in Jesus and the work of the cross.

The ayin decade is sealed with God’s generous goodness toward us. In the world we don’t often see good. Yet God is good and He loves us with a generous and compassionate heart. His desire is for our good.

Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Through the Hebrew letters ayin and tet we see the overall theme for Hebrew year 5779 is a year for having eyes to see the generous goodness of the Lord.
